When thousands of people donate no more than $100 per person per election, we can build a campaign without money from special interests. _______________________ But it's about more than money. We need your energy and your enthusiasm, too. Sign up to volunteer on Jim Hansen's campaign for Congress.

Jim Hansen, a candidate for U.S. Congress, wraps up a 95-town tour in all 26 counties of the 2nd District with a whistlestop tour through downtown Boise aboard the Boise Tour Train, 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 28.
Popular Boise musician Kevin Kirk and his jazz band will provide onboard music as the tour train winds its way through the downtown core and to Julia Davis Park.
Saturday’s Whistlestop Tour reflects Hansen’s overall grassroots campaign style of going out to meet voters face to face, rather than relying on expensive television ads and mailings. Since June he has visited all of the district’s 26 counties at least twice, with stops in 95 large and small towns to talk with voters and hear their concerns.
Hansen, a Democrat, has funded his campaign with individual contributions capped at $100. He refuses to take money from PACs and special interests.
People can enjoy a free ride on the train with Hansen for the Capital City Public Market’s final day of the fall season and Boo at the Zoo in Julia Davis Park. Hot spiced cider will be served in Democratic headquarters in the old Mode Building, 10 a.m- noon.
