When thousands of people donate no more than $100 per person per election, we can build a campaign without money from special interests.

My apologies for not adding to this blog recently. The pace of the campaign increased dramatically in September and October. The focus of my time has been to meet people face to face. We are clearly winning on the grassroots level and expect victory on Tuesday. The whole country is eager for change and so is Idaho!
The number of wonderful people I have met on this campaign is so inspiring. My days begin early and end late with the primary focus on personal meetings, both one-on-one and in groups. Because this is a large district, there a lot of travel time is required as well. That's when I caught up on phone calls (if there was cel service), writing notes and napping. Unfortunately, my computer time was sharply reduced and when I am on the computer I am responding to inquiries from voters directly.
I hope you'll help me integrate a systematic use of the blog as I serve in Congress.
I am energized and excited about what people have been sharing with me all over Idaho's 2nd District. They are ready for change! There is no doubt about that. They are frustrated by the big money politics as usual and the nasty ads that come with it. They are sharing with their friends and neighbors that they appreciate our approach both as a candidate and as a representative in Congress. They are not stridently partisan and want to see trust restored to their government. Not taking any PAC money and limiting contributions to $100 or less per person, per election means that the lines of accountability are clear and they appreciate that.
So I am asking all of you to please talk to everyone you meet in the final hours before the 8pm on Tuesday. Tell them who you are voting for and why. It WILL make a difference and you will be partly responsible for the big change that is coming this year!
