When thousands of people donate no more than $100 per person per election, we can build a campaign without money from special interests.

What's buried in huge bill that passed Congress by one vote?

Congress jammed all sorts of provisions into the bill that passed the House Wednesday night. By lumping them together, special interests were helped and ordinary people will pay more costs.
A massive bill (S.1932) that passed the House late Wednesday night is another example of how ordinary people are hurt by the insider system in Congress, and how special interests reap the benefits. The sun rose on Groundhogs day leaving us to wonder whether we'll have a long winter of this business-as-usual system where we will be paying for this bill for many years to come?
There are many huge changes to the law that were jammed into the bill, each of which should have been voted on separately. It was crafted in the final hours of the Congressional sessions in December but because of some flaws that had to be corrected, it had to come up for a vote in the House again. There was extraordinary pressure on members of Congress to vote for the entire package.
We'll be sorting through all the provisions for months to come. What provisions affect you? Share your thoughts, articles and links on other pages of this web community.
